Lingham ... A nice place to play in the beginning ... but the clay eats away at starters, alternators ... its BAD !
Sept. 2005
Curtis and Ric drove to Madoc to meet some of the North Hastings crew. 10 trucks headed into Lingham for a VERY unique day. |
|
With Curtis' encouragement Ric and Bushwacker began to play in Johnson's Hole.
A fresh rain made the dried area a lot of fun. Ric needed to be winched out. Curtis didn't try ( double lockers ?)
|
BUT nothing compared to Mark in his Ford !
IRON PIG to the rescue ....Mark led the assault on a little bay at the south end of Lingham. After "cruising" around the bay, Mark ventured out around the island from where they took off. He wasn't aware of the of the steep underwater slope and slid right off. Curtis and Ric pulled him out. An hour later the Ford was running ! More trouble to follow. |

|
AND then !
Brian took his 4Runner out into a bog with what appeared to be a trail. First he got stuck and Curtis pulled him out. Shortly after Curtis tried in the IRON PIG, only to break a birfield. |
Mark AGAIN ?
On the same day as submerging his Ford, Mark buries it near Candy Mtn. It took 2 8000lb winches to hall his a## out. It should be noted that Curtis broke his front birfield hitting the ditch to the right of Mark. |

JULY 2006
Bushwacker ( Ric & Christy ) on the east side of Johnson's Hole. |
Can it make it out?
The answer was ... give your head a shake , of course ... its an FJ40 ... then backed in & did it again. |

|
Wallowing
This might be the last time Curtis & Iron Pig get stuck in this hole as Curtis will soon have 16" wide boggers. |
Technique
Notice Curtis' technique of keeping HIS side clean ... not appreciated by his passengers as he grins. |
